Donate Books & Dolls
Parents and teachers in Khayelitsha, Crossroads and Guguletu townships near Cape Town have expressed their urgent need for multicultural books and black dolls. Books are prohibitively expensive in South Africa, and in schools the selection is often limited to dated texts in the Afrikaans language.
In response, Art Aids Art conducted its first Babies and Books Collection in 2003, receiving hundreds of books and dolls. We promptly packed them up and sent them via sea freight to Cape Town.
We accept donations on an ongoing basis, and we invite donors to email us to arrange a pick up or determine the best way to transport your donation.
